How Invisalign Works

Like traditional braces, Invisalign is a method of straightening teeth, but unlike braces, it uses a series of clear, removable plastic aligners. This results in an orthodontic experience that is just as effective as traditional orthodontics, but far more comfortable and convenient.

Each aligner is worn for two weeks before being replaced with the next in the series. You’ll remove the aligner to eat, drink, brush, and floss, so keeping up with your daily oral hygiene routine is easy. As you replace each aligner, your teeth will move until they reach their final, straightened positions.

Visits to our office during your treatment help Dr. Rand ensure your treatment progresses on schedule. You only need to come in every six to eight weeks, and your appointment will only last about 15 minutes. Best of all, there are no “adjustment” appointments, so you’ll never leave our office with a sore mouth!

During your first appointment, we’ll use our state-of-the-art iTero® Digital Impression System to make a 3D digital model of your mouth. From there, you’ll view your virtual treatment plan and see how your straight teeth will look when your treatment is complete.
