Dr. Kathryn Rand, DDS, Orthodontic care beyond compare

Kathryn E. Rand was born and raised in the Buffalo NY area. She graduated high school from The Buffalo Seminary. From there, Dr. Kathryn Rand attended Canisius College where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Biology. Dr. Kathryn Rand then attended the University of Buffalo's School of Dental Medicine where she graduated Cum Laude with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and a minor in pediatrics. Dr. Kathryn Rand did her postdoctoral residency in the orthodontics department at UB and graduated with a Certificate in Proficiency in Orthodontics in 1999. She began in private practice with Dr. James Leitten in 1999.

In 2005, Dr. Kathryn Rand was asked to join the faculty in the Department of Orthodontics at the University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor, where she gives formal lectures and teaches on the clinic floor in orthodontics. In her quest to provide quality and state-of-the-art care in orthodontics, Dr. Kathryn Rand became certified in Invisalign in 1999 and certified in Incognito Orthodontic Braces in 2006.

Dr. Kathryn Rand is married and has two middle school age children. When Dr. Kathryn Rand is not in the office or lecturing at UB, she enjoys taking her kids to sporting events, doing laundry, baking for her family and traveling.
